At the postgraduate level, the Mechanical Engineering program focuses on research through laboratory-based education to produce graduates with specialized expertise. Areas of specialization range from energy systems, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, control engineering, robotics, design engineering, and materials engineering. Through guided research, this program prepares postgraduate students to make real contributions in the field of Mechanical Engineering and other related fields. ME Unhas consistently collaborates with national and international institutions on research to enhance the quality of Mechanical Engineering graduate students. The graduate programs offered are the Master of Mechanical Engineering and the Doctor of Mechanical Engineering program, which provide the following sub-field study options: Machine Construction, Energy Conversion, and Renewable Energy.
