At Hasanuddin University, the academic year begins in August and ends in June. The year is divided into two semesters: the odd semester (August-December) and the even semester (February-June). The Mechanical Engineering program begins once a year at the start of the odd semester at the beginning of each academic year.
There are three admission options for this program:
- National Selection for State Universities (SNMPTN)
- Joint Selection for State Universities (SBMPTN)
- Independent Selection.
Specific admission requirements for each registration option:
- National Selection for State Universities (SNMPTN) A.
- SNMPTN is conducted based on academic achievement review using academic records from the first to fifth semesters over three years of high school and academic portfolios.
- Schools whose students apply for SNMPTN must have a National School Identification Number (NPSN) and the students’ academic achievements must be registered in the School and Student Data Base (PDSS).
- Applicants must have a National Student Identification Number, demonstrate outstanding academic performance, and be documented in the School and Student Data Base (PDSS).
- Joint Admission Selection for State Universities (SBMPTN)
- High school graduates from 2017 and 2018 must have a diploma.
- High school graduates from 2019 must have at least a Graduation Certificate (SKL) that includes the student’s identity information, a current passport photo, and an official seal.
- Independent Admission Pathway (two types)
a. Non-Subsidy Pathway
- Registered as an SBMPTN participant.
- Those who have passed the SBMPTN are not permitted to apply.
- Have applied to one of the University of Hasanuddin’s study programs through the SBMPTN.
b. Sports, Arts, and Science Achievement Pathway
- Must have achieved accomplishments at the national or international level in sports, arts, and/or science.

TUITION FEES
Students must register for courses each semester. Hasanuddin University uses a single tuition fee with five (5) student groups based on their economic level.
