Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering manages three study programs: the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (PSTM) program, the Master of Mechanical Engineering (PSMTM) program, and the Doctor of Mechanical Engineering (PSDTM) program. The Mechanical Engineering Program (PSTM), established on September 10, 1960, holds the highest accreditation rating of “A” based on the decision of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) No. 0931/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/III/2017. The Master’s Program (PSMTM) also has the latest accreditation rating of “A” based on the Decision of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) No. 3885/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/M/X/2017. The Doctoral Program (PSDTM) is currently undergoing the re-accreditation process with BAN-PT.

PSTM currently has 28 faculty members, including 4 professors with expertise in three fields of study: Energy Conversion, Mechanical Engineering, and Metallurgy. Additionally, the modern campus in Gowa is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories that support the implementation of Lab-Based Education (LBE) and technological development through the Center of Technology (CoT).
