Hasanuddin University Mechanical Engineering Department Working Meeting: Strategies for Achieving 2025 Targets Malino, December 1, 2024 – The Mechanical Engineering Department of Hasanuddin University successfully held a two-day working meeting from November 30 to December 1, 2024. Held at Villa Lario in Malino, the event was attended by faculty members, educational staff, and laboratory assistants as part of collaborative efforts to establish strategies and future targets. The main focus of the meeting was on the achievements of the Mechanical Engineering Department in 2024 and the setting of targets for 2025. Key points highlighted included: increasing the number of on-time graduates, student achievements at national and international levels, faculty and student scientific publications, and strengthening collaboration with industry. The Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Syahid, ST, MT., emphasized the importance of synergy among all elements within the department. “We aim to ensure that all set targets are achieved through solid collaboration. Additionally, improving the quality of graduates and contributing to society remain our top priorities,” he stated. In addition to discussing academic and development aspects, the event was also combined with a family gathering for the extended Mechanical Engineering family of Hasanuddin University. This opportunity was utilized to strengthen familial bonds among academic staff.
