Welcome to the Gowa Engineering Campus, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University. The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established on September 10, 1960. Currently, the department oversees three academic programs: an undergraduate program (Bachelor’s degree), a master’s program (Master’s degree), and a doctoral program (Doctorate degree), covering various fields of mechanical engineering, including energy conversion, construction, materials, and mechatronics. Its vision is to become an outstanding institution in producing mechanical engineering graduates capable of conducting research and development in science, technology, and art (IPTEKS) within the field of mechanical engineering. The educational system employed includes Student-Centered Learning (SCL) and Laboratory-Based Education (LBE).
